The romance seemed to be an afterthought. First of all, i like Diana Palmer's formula that's why i keep reading her books. I'm also a bit tired of Harley being the fill in date.Really disappointed. There was more spark between Sara and every other male she came in contact than with Jared. but this was just so ridiculous it wasn't even funny. The way the characters reacted to situations was so far fetched it was absurd (and the situations were even more far fetched again).
I liked Sara, but felt like Jared was just ok as the hero. I found myself halfway reading it and not feeling like I cared much when it was over. I have read a few other books by DP and they were ok, entertaining enough. It wasn't really a bad read, just not very entertaining to me. I would say to check this one out of the library. This book I bought even though it didn't have very good reviews thinking maybe it would be ok as what I call a "beach read", however, I wasn't very happy with it. I just felt like the story was to rushed, and things were patched up to quickly.
I kept hoping that Sara & Tony would get together, he's a much better man than Jared. I usually like Palmer's novels but this one isn't one of her better ones--Jared is awful & so is Max.
These days. Palmer. strong women (even ones with severe disablities) growup and fall in love with gentlemen. I am disappointed that any writer would consider this a romantic plot device. I suppose given her rather stereotypical views on disablities, it was easy for her to contrive that a person with a TBI would not know the difference between real love and date rape.Wake up Ms.
I couldn't get excited about the hero and the pacing seemed off. I've read Diana Palmer's books for years, but this book wasn't my favorite.
